HAPPY NEW YEAR!

So far, it's been a good one. I got up on time, I'm just catching up on my friends list (curse being gone for a week with no internet!) and then I'm going to write in my paper journal. I managed to join [info]embodiment just in time, so I will repeat my promise here: I, [info]redringbox aka Mandi, do hearby swear to write every day in my paper journal.

Okay, that's an incredibly hokey entry, but I don't quite know what to do to fix it so I'm keeping it.

13th November, 2005. 9:58 pm. Ode to my green umbrella...

I'd like everyone to take a moment of silence for my green umbrella, which perished tragically on my way to work today. How was I to know it was really that windy out? I had an idea of myself floating away with my umbrella, somewhat like Mary Poppins. Instead I merely looked ridiculous as I trudged home with my inside-out umbrella. Yes, it certainly did turn inside out. I was greatly saddened. My green umbrella has served me well, but I see that its time has passed and I will have to buy a new one. Perhaps pink next time?

Current mood: thoughtful.

Bah. I'm sick as a dog. Sniffly and gross and sore throat and sucking down vitamin C. Tim left to get me medicine and tea...I hope he's back soon...and the weather outside isn't making me feel any better, it's rainy and depressing.

Current mood: listless.

14th October, 2005. 8:08 am. Meh.

Very tired. I have to be over at Nikki's by 8:45 to babysit and it's 8:09 and I just don't feel like moving. It looks like a beautiful day though. I'm feeling a bit more awake but I still feel stuck. This is my only day off from work this week and I volunteered to babysit, not only because I would get paid for it but because I LOVE the kid. *babylove* Today is my happy day off, I get to babysit all day, then hang out with the girls for our night out. Tim is in the lab all day programing. At least I won't be sitting at home feeling lonely without him....

Current mood: tired.

30th September, 2005. 4:32 pm. Ow.

I fell at work today. Slipped sideways and smacked my entire left side from my butt down to my ankle. There's no bruises, yet...but my foot is weird and tingly and it hurts to walk on it. Think I can sue them for this?

Current mood: sore.

You Are A: Duckling!

DucklingThe cutest of the cute, these baby ducks are often spotted in the spring following closely behind their mother. As a duckling you will grow up quickly, becoming one of the adult ducks seen commonly in ponds and streams. Playful and timid, charming and vulnerable, ducklings are nature's very definition of innocence.

Wardrobe key
You're a slightly tarnished metal key, and you
unlock the wardrobe. At first glance, you seem
to present only simple, everyday things, but
anyone who looks deeper will find much more.
Just don't expect everyone to believe in you,
and those who don't may not grasp your worth.

What sort of key are you and what do you unlock?
